But as for the lingo, well it appears that we’ve taken it upon ourselves to add our own unique twist… The term “flat white” is believed to have originated in Australia and New Zealand in the late ’80s and early ’90s. Our friends from the Mediterranean introduced us to coffee a long time ago, and since then us Aussies have enjoyed it with gusto.
