The character moves between screens in real time. There are 800 pre-rendered backgrounds in total (many of which are based on real photos). The hero will visit the pipe, basement, kitchen, bar, research office and living room.
The game is a Prusak simulator and an unusual quest. The original came out in the late 20th century. This is a re-release called “Bad Mojo: The Way of the Cockroach” in the Russian-speaking segment. The screensavers use FMV technology (when live actors appear instead of 3D character models). The story is inspired by Frank Kafka’s novella The Metamorphosis. Roger tries to get to his body in the form of an insect in order to move back inside. The locket suddenly transferred his soul to a cockroach that was in another part of the house. After an argument with the landlord, Samms took his late mother’s amulet with him. The character already wanted to flee to Mexico with money, but a mystical incident ruined all his plans. But one day he got a job at a research company and stole $1 million from him.
The main character has always been a failure. The former owns a dirty bar in San Francisco while the latter rents a room in the same run-down building and is also the protagonist.
